Dr. Bhargava completed her medical degree in India and then lived and worked in England, where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Acute Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She also completed her PhD in Clinical Trial Design and has published extensively.

She then moved to SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where she worked as an Assistant Professor for over five years, actively teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, in addition to serving as the clinical lead for Home Dialysis services. She joined Nephrology Hypertension Associates in January 2024.
